Multitex had been using Tally as a main accounting package as well as had experience using many small ERP systems from a number of different vendors. With the rich core functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 covering their entire operations and allowing them to integrate their business through a single system, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 has also simplified their international, crosscompany business processes, data sharing, and IT infrastructure.
End users too felt that the ease of use and similarity to the Microsoft software they already use was a major force in enabling them to start using the system quickly. The tight integration between it and other Microsoft products—including Microsoft Office Excel—is allowing them to not notice the system and instead focus on what they do best. Users feel that the software is tailor made to an individual as they are able to customize dashboards that show them only what is relevant to their particular role.
Purchase & Sales order processing Preview
As a sourcing and distribution company, Shipment is a critical element to Multitex’s business. They needed specific functionality which would combine multiple Sales Orders to ease the shipment process. This was built by SAGlobal as a Collection Summary module.
The collection summary is a new and separate feature to consolidate the sales packing lists into one shipment and one single invoice. The shipping department only needs to maintain the information in collection summary. The changes will not affect the original data of sales order which is maintained by another department.
